At Pearly Whites of Eugene, Dr. Jossi Stokes provides oral surgery to treat a variety of conditions. Dr. Stokes knows that the prospect of surgery can be scary for some patients. That’s why she offers a variety of sedation options for surgeries. In addition, the team will thoroughly explain what to expect, before, during, and after the surgery.
Wisdom Teeth Removal
Your wisdom teeth can wreak havoc on your smile and the overall structure of your mouth. These late-to-arrive molars are notorious for coming in at an angle, which disrupts the alignment of your other teeth. We encourage you to have them removed as soon as it is appropriate.
Bone Grafting
Bone grafting may be necessary to build up the jawbone before a dental implant or other dental restoration. Bone grafting is a commonly performed procedure by Dr. Stokes. She will ensure you are fully prepared for the procedure, and that you leave with detailed post-surgery instructions.

PRP in Oral Surgery
At Pearly Whites of Eugene, we embrace the latest scientific advances. That’s why we became early adopters of the use of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) in oral surgery. PRP uses the remarkable healing properties of your body’s own plasma to regenerate and heal damaged tissue, thereby expediting healing.
Sedation for Oral Surgery
We seek to make our patients' surgery as comfortable as possible for our patients by practicing sedation dentistry. Sedation methods offered at Pearly Whites of Eugene include oral sedation (pill), or nitrous oxide.
If you need oral surgery, we encourage you to give us a call or contact us online today to schedule a consultation.
What oral surgery services are provided at Pearly Whites?
Oral surgery services include wisdom tooth removal, other dental extractions, and bone grafting. We will evaluate your case to determine whether treatment in our office is appropriate.
Does every wisdom tooth need to be removed?
No. Removal may be recommended when a wisdom tooth is impacted, infected, painful, difficult to clean, or threatening nearby teeth. An examination and imaging help determine whether treatment is needed.
Can I receive sedation for oral surgery?
Depending on your medical history and procedure, nitrous oxide or oral sedation may be available. Local anesthetic is also used when appropriate to numb the surgical area.
