Rotary Endodontics

Endodontics is a dental specialty focused on treating an infected tooth from the inside, thereby allowing the patient to keep the tooth rather than have it extracted.  Known to most as a "root canal", this commonly-done therapy removes the diseased or infected nerve tissue from inside the tooth and then seals it. The result is relief from pain and a sound tooth that can then be restored to full function.  The long-term success rate is very high with endodontic therapy.

Rotary Endodontics is a way of performing the root canal utilizing a specific electrical handpiece. This tool often makes the process faster and allows the dentist to perform the process with greater ease.

Root canals have received a "bad rap" and just hearing the term can cause people anxiety, but the vast majority of the time our patients are surprised by how comfortable they are throughout the procedure and how grateful they feel to be out of pain and able to keep their tooth.  Don't let fear motivate you to "just live with it" or keep you from treating your toothache.  Real help is available!
