Meet Dr. Stokes
Dr. Stokes grew up in Iowa City and attended the University of Rochester and the University of Wyoming for a BS in Animal Science. She attended the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and completed a residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.
She has been practicing in beautiful Eugene since 2002. She is a member of the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, Lane County Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry where she has become a Fellow. She has also been awarded Neighborhood Favorite from Nextdoor three years in a row. Her community involvement includes being on multiple committees, serving on Food for Lane County’s board and is currently volunteering at vaccination clinics in the area. She has two teenagers that also keep her busy.
Meet The Team
Nancy was born in Chicago and moved to Eugene in elementary school. She has been dental assisting since high school and completed the Dental Assisting program at Lane Community College. Nancy is certified by the Dental Assisting National Board as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant. She has experience in periodontics, orthodontics, and general dentistry. She has worked with Dr. Stokes since 2005. Nancy and her husband enjoy camping, travel, and spending time with their large family, including many grandkids.
Carolyn grew up in Anchorage, Alaska, married, and raised 2 boys. She entered the dental field just after high school and has been working in the same field ever since. She moved with her husband to Medford in 2005 and has been in Eugene for a few years now. She joined Pearly Whites in 2017 and we are lucky to have her expertise. Carolyn and her husband like to camp, hike and spend time with their family, especially their new grandkids.
Matt is a longtime Eugene resident. He moved to the area to attend the University of Oregon after earning an Associate’s degree in general science from Umpqua Community College. Matt earned an associate’s degree in dental hygiene from Lane Community College and has practiced in Oregon and Alaska since 1987 with a focus on patient comfort and periodontics. Matt enjoys listening to live music, especially folk and celtic, gardening and spending time outdoors with his family.
Annie was born in Alaska and moved to the Eugene area in elementary school. She graduated from the Lane Community College Dental Assisting program in 2007. Annie enjoys making memories with family and friends, spending as much time as possible outdoors and loves to travel.
Nikki has lived most of her life right here in Eugene! She got her start in dentistry as a dental assistant, graduating from the Lane Community College Dental Assisting Program in 1995, before transitioning to the front office. Nikki worked with Dr Stokes 20 years ago when Dr Stokes first arrived in Eugene. Nikki enjoys traveling, cheering on her home team Oregon Ducks and spending time with her family.
Melanie joined our team the beginning of 2023 and we couldn’t be happier to have her here. She has lived in the area her whole life. Melanie began her dental career working as a dental assistant for 10 years before returning to Lane Community College to earn her degree in Dental Hygiene. When not working, Mel enjoys gardening, camping and spending time with her grandchildren.
Melissa grew up in Arkansas and started working in dentistry during high school as a sterile tech. She started as an assistant after graduation and has loved it ever since. Melissa met her husband in 2017 and he convinced her to move to Eugene. They have 1 son and 4 dogs and enjoy being outdoors as much as possible. Melissa is a huge sports fan and loves to attend as many Duck games as possible.
